Duncan F. Matheson, IV, D.D.S.
Dr. Duncan Matheson, IV grew up on the Mississippi Gulf Coast and would not live anywhere else! He moved to Diamondhead in February 1979 and went to St. Stanislaus for his high school education. Dr. Matheson received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Southern Mississippi and his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Toronto. He has been practicing general dentistry since 2003 at the Diamondhead Dental Clinic. Prior to his dental education, Dr. Matheson worked at the Diamondhead Dental Clinic for two years as a dental assistant.
Dr. Matheson is a current member of the Mississippi Dental Association and American Dental Association. He is also the past president of the Gulfport Dental Society. His favorite aspect of the dental practice is the daily interaction with patients and staff.
Fishing and boating are Dr. Matheson's leisure activities when he can get the time to relax. Dr. Matheson is married to Karyn, and they have two daughters.

Dr. Matheson, III received a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology in 1967 from the University of Southern Mississippi, a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from Mississippi State in 1969, and he worked for Chevron Oil Company for four years. He then enrolled in the LSU School of Dentistry and graduated with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree in 1977. He practiced in Hattiesburg and Picayune before opening the Diamondhead office in 1985. Dr. Matheson is a member of the Mississippi Dental Association and the American Dental Association.
Dr. Matheson has resided in Diamondhead since 1979. In 2003, Dr. Matheson welcomed his son, Duncan, as a partner in the Diamondhead Dental Clinic. The Mathesons' younger son, David, is married and also lives in Diamondhead.
